Ill miss my dad

Yesterday evening, my dad Jim passed away. He was 89. I think of myself as fortunate to have had my dad, for all his advice, for his guidance in my early years, for shaping my life really, for the last 57 years or so. Not everyone is that lucky. As a man, he was a real gentleman, never offensive, everybody loved him. He was, mainly, mild mannered although ive seen him lose his temper, with me as well as others, but those instance were short lived, and quickly forgotten. He was always there, not just for me, but my two sisters and without question for my mum, June. He was dedicated to Mum throughout his life and loved her unreservedly, and though she ordered him around with her stick ( I should explain she is disabled!) he carried out her wishes with no complaint.
